Istanbul: love this hotel!

January 31, 2011

I heart the Witt Istanbul Suites in Istanbul, Turkey.  It’s located in the hip neighborhood of Cihangir on the European side of Istanbul.  It has only 17 rooms, with large marble bathrooms, and balconies looking out over the Bosphorus.  The hotel was designed by the very hip architecture firm Autoban.

If you can, I recommend staying in room 61 or 62.  Both of these rooms have amazing views of Istanbul.  You can see the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace, and hear all the minarets echoing across the city.  With the boutique hotel vibe and being in a hip and young neighborhood, you’ll feel like you’re a local with a big “in” to the happening scene, living in a luxurious loft with a spacious balcony.
