The Girl with the Dragon Snowshoe: NYC

January 27, 2011

This morning we woke up to snow glistening from the branches of trees and railings of balconies.  It was wrapped around everything, and once again left many cars completely buried.  What else was buried?  Bicycles, mailboxes, street signs, garbage, phone booths, and electrical boxes.  As you can see, Mayor Bloomberg was all over the salt this time, so most streets are cleared.  Some smaller East Village side streets still had gnarly snow though.

Anyway, since it was so pretty, I brought my camera on my morning dog walk with Mark.  New York is SO pretty in the snow.  I suggest traveling here this winter.

We’re having another winter storm starting tonight … for 3 days! My dog loves the snow, so I guess that will keep me from becoming totally depressed over this endless freezing snow and slush winter.
