The Pool at The Tides Inn
My friend got married at the beautiful Tides Inn in Irvington, Virginia, on the Chesapeake Bay. The hotel at first felt like Dirty Dancing’s Kellerman’s, from the architecture and outdoor hallways. Well, don’t judge a book by its cover! The best thing about this hotel is all the activities you can do! We went kayaking, swimming, layed out at the bayside beach, and took a pontoon boat out around all the little canals to look at the beautiful homes. There’s also: sailing, fishing, biking (the hotel has bikes available), boating, golfing (we saw a group of businessmen helicopter in for golf and lunch), baseball, soccer, tennis, and frisbee golf. It would be a perfect place for a family reunion. Also great for a family vacation with the kids. We’d love to return when our baby boy is elementary school and can enjoy all the sports and activities!
